⚙️ THE PROBLEM
You have thoughts.
You have notes.
You have the idea.
You just don’t know how to structure it.
So you throw a long prompt at AI and say:
“Here… figure it out.”
AI can’t always decipher what you were thinking.
It needs directions to follow and the simple you make it for AI, the better it will get at delivering the results you want.
If you don’t give it structure, it invents its own… which often won’t match your expectations because you guys have different “brains”.
Let’s break it down with an example 👇🏽

THE COMPLEX TASK WE’RE SOLVING TODAY
“Turn my messy, unstructured notes into a clean set of steps someone else can follow.”
Instead of doing this with one big prompt or giving it such a vague idea of what you need it to do, you break the request into micro-steps.

1) Extract → “Find the important pieces first.”
Before AI does anything, make it pull out the raw ingredients.
Prompt:
Extract the key points from these messy notes. Separate them into: goals, steps, tools, and context.
2) Organize → “Put everything in the right order.”
Now you ask it to arrange things logically.
Prompt:
Take the extracted points and reorganize them into a clear, step-by-step flow.
3) Build → “Turn the notes into a clean set of steps.”
Now we transform the organized info into something someone can follow.
Prompt:
Convert that flow into a clean set of steps with short descriptions for each step.
4) Clarify → “Fill in the missing pieces.”
Messy notes always have gaps — AI fixes them for you.
Prompt:
Review these steps and identify anything missing or unclear. Suggest improvements.
5) Refine → “Give me the polished version.”
This is where it outputs the final, usable version.
Prompt:
Apply your suggested improvements and give me the final, polished version.

You are helping me turn messy notes into a clear set of steps.
Step 1 — Extract
Pull key points from my notes and separate them into:
• Goals
• Steps
• Tools
• Context
Step 2 — Organize
Rebuild these points into a clear, step-by-step flow.
Step 3 — Build
Turn that flow into a clean set of steps with short explanations.
Step 4 — Clarify
Review the steps and identify anything unclear or missing.
Step 5 — Refine
Apply your fixes and give me the final version.

PS. You can even ask AI to come up with your own prompt. Just tell it what you need, ask it to give you a prompt (fun when you say ‘i’m gonna feed it to another AI that doesn’t understand like you do’ 🤭) then feed it back to it!
